Resurrect in Light: The Miami Art Week Showcase Everyone Will Be Talking About

ree

Miami Art Week is known for big moments—immersive installations, glittery VIP parties, celebrity sightings, and blockbuster exhibitions—but nothing is generating more buzz this year than Resurrect in Light, the transformational art project by multidisciplinary artist Ryan Keeley in partnership with quiet-luxury fashion house Grey/Ven. This debut at SCOPE Art Show not only pushes the boundaries of creativity but carries a deeper mission: supporting Friends of Malibu Urgent Care

in the aftermath of the devastating Malibu wildfires.

And trust us—this is not your average Art Week moment. This is raw, emotional, architectural, spiritual, sandy, ashy, fashion-infused, paddle-court-painting greatness

wrapped into one massive Miami-sized experience.

The Meaning Behind Resurrect in Light

At the heart of the project is Keeley’s profound connection to Malibu—the land, the home, the devastation, and the rebirth. When offered the opportunity to conceptually revive the iconic Tadao Ando–designed Malibu residence once owned by Ye (Kanye West), Keeley stepped onto the stripped, dismantled grounds and felt something shift. As he describes it:

“Every crack, every loss, and every scar can become a place where light enters, and where beauty can be reborn.”

Inspired by both destruction and the possibility of renewal, he crafted a series using actual Malibu sand and ashes—literally embedding the story of rebirth into the canvas. The result? A visceral, emotional body of work where architecture, environment, and human experience collide.

The Resurrect in Light debut at SCOPE Art Show is nothing short of monumental. Keeley Studios and Grey/Ven are presenting a fully immersive, multi-dimensional encounter that transforms how audiences engage with art. Highlights include:

A 5,000-Square-Foot Live Painting Installation

Yes, five thousand. Keeley will be painting directly onto the exterior walls of SCOPE—turning the fair itself into a living, breathing art piece.

A Dedicated Booth Featuring Malibu-Created Works

Guests can view the sand-and-ash canvases, meet Ryan Keeley, and experience the emotional resonance of his Malibu-inspired process.

A Full Exhibit Featuring Canvas + Film

Keeley didn’t just paint his process—he filmed it. Visitors get to witness both mediums working together in a storyline of destruction, artistry, and renewal.

Paddle Courts, Athleisure, and a Fashion-Twist Reveal

Grey/Ven, known for its tonal quiet-luxury aesthetic, is sponsoring SCOPE’s professional paddle tournament. Keeley will be painting the courts while models later showcase garments printed with Keeley’s artwork during a private celebration.

The Launch of Keeley Paint X Supply

One of the most exciting revelations during the fair is Keeley’s eco-luxury venture: Keeley Paint X Supply, a line of paints and pigments inspired by the Malibu process.

Created using sand and debris from wildfire-affected areas, the line transforms tragedy into creativity—offering artists a way to paint with purpose

This is sustainability but make it soulful.

A Mission That Goes Beyond the Canvas

Proceeds from Resurrect in Light support Friends of Malibu Urgent Care, instrumental in the community’s healing and rebuilding efforts after the fires. This is art that doesn’t just live on walls—it lives in the world, providing tangible relief and long-term support.
