The Art Of Hip Hop Grand Opening in Miami
The Art Of Hip Hop, in partnership with StockX held a private grand opening party to celebrate the opening if its permanent space in Wynwood highlighting the genre’s visual creators - photographers, album cover artists, graffiti writers, logo and fashion designers - to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop. SCOPE ART SHOW
SCOPE Art Show concluded its 22nd edition this weekend, with huge success bringing together more than 110 curated presentations hailing from 24 countries. 70 contemporary art galleries made their Miami Art Week debut, underscoring SCOPE’s mission to serve as a destination for discovery. Over the course of five days, SCOPE Art Show welcomed more than 122,000 guests, marking a 20% increase in attendance from last year as an overwhelmingly positive response to SCOPE’s new curatorial direction and hosted 20 panels and 10 performances. SCOPE’s increase in attendance is related to the increase in VIPs including more curators and institutions through Curator Breakfasts and SCOPE circle Dinner.
Notable additions to this year’s event included the successful launch of three new special selections at SCOPE: CORE, photo basel + SCOPE, and Futures, solidifying the fair as a global platform for art and cultural exchange. The Art of Being Latin event
CÎROC, Buchanan’s Whisky and Johnnie Walker took to Miami to celebrate the artists, industry titans, and creators during one of the biggest weeks of art.
NEON16 kicked off The Art of Being Latin, a two-day multimedia exhibit featuring a series of panel discussions with cultural icons and an exclusive after party with delicious tasting CÎROC and Buchanan’s Whisky cocktails. Guests enjoyed conversations featuring a variety of cultural icons like the creators of Blue Beetle, Ángel Manuel Soto, Santiago Zapata, and Caleeb Pinkett, who spoke about their careers and the importance of representation in media. NEON16 CEO, Lex Borrero, Elliott Muscat, and award-winning producer Tainy also discussed the making of Tainy’s latest album and his artistry as one of the biggest producers in the Latin industry.
STAMPED and Miami’s Norma Now teamed up to bring the sounds from the continent to the world during this special Art Basel edition event, CLUB PARADISE, presented by CÎROC. Guests had the opportunity to experience the unique blend of community, origin, and diverse sounds with specialty cocktails during the CÎROC Happy Hour, while enjoying the electrifying sounds by @AYA + FRIENDS featuring Joe Kay (Soulection) and Nayiram. Club Paradise was a celebration of unity – a chance to celebrate yourself and others under one roof.

During Art Basel, pītusa, known for their chic, colorful and high-quality resort-wear, hosted an event at their Wynwood retail location for the unveiling of their new flagship mural. The transformation of their storefront is inspired by the bright, bold, and fun colors of their pieces. In attendance were notable names such as TV personality Corinne Olympios and influencer Courtney Cahoon. Guests arrived decked out in pītusa outfits and had the opportunity to shop around, admire the new mural in honor of Art Basel, and enjoy drinks, a live Cuban band, and custom portraits by mural artist Jeronimo Gauna.

THE BALFOUR HOTEL LAUNCHES GUSTAVO OVIEDO’S
“LOST AT SEA” EXHIBIT
The Balfour Hotel, a charming, historic art deco property in Miami’s South of Fifth neighborhood managed by Highgate, celebrated the launch of its collaboration with local Miami artist Gustavo Oviedo. For this free Miami Art Week event, Oviedo adorned the hotel with installations to debut his compelling “Lost At Sea” collection. Welcoming more than 350 guests, the immersive experience included passed bites artistically curated by Chef Antony Awak, complimentary beverages, and live entertainment by guest DJs Pat Boogie and Hilal. To tie it all together, The Balfour Hotel’s brand partner, Piper & Skye, recognized for its responsibly made leather accessories, showcased its sustainable luxury handbags. Guests also had the opportunity to engage in interactive moments with Oviedo himself and get “lost at sea.”

The Tequila Don Julio x Felipe Pantone Por Amor Exhibit brought attendees on an immersive journey into the vibrant heartbeat of modern Mexico through Pantone's unique kinetic art and digital expression. Guest enjoyed DJ sets from Eric Dlux and DJ Ruckus, sipped on signature Tequila Don Julio cocktails, and had the opportunity to become not just observers, but integral parts of the living art with the chance to have their portrait captured by Thalia Gochez to be displayed as an element of the artistic tapestry. The night closed out with a special performance from Mexican singer-songwriter Sofia Reyes.

Artist Shawn Kolodny Partners with House of Creed
Visual artist Shawn Kolodny partners with renowned fragrance brand House of Creed to create new sculptural installations during Miami Art Week 2023
The House of Creed and leading visual artist Shawn Kolodny celebrated their creative collaboration with a private event at the Esmé Miami Beach Hotel. The event was in celebration of Kolodny’s striking installations for the House of Creed’s holiday window displays in over 30 locations worldwide, including Creed’s Miami Design District Store. The event also featured the unveiling of a new public sculpture by Kolodny, scented by Creed, on Española Way and Drexel Avenue near Miami Beach. The artist and Creed team celebrated with guests including Jordan Watts of Love Watts, artist Olive Allen, model Ellen Alexander, artist Talia Zoref, and Zach Iser. Guests enjoyed music by DJ Anna de Ferran.
Visitors to Miami Art Week 2023 will be able to see Kolodny’s artwork at the Creed store, and in other locations around the city as part of Miami Art Week. Kolodny partnered with the City of Miami Beach, The House of Creed and the EsméMiami Beach Hotel to present a new, large scale public sculpture on Española Way and Drexel Avenue near Miami Beach. This dynamic sculpture evokes the vibrancy and movement of our ever-changing natural world and invites
viewers to become a part of the art amidst their own reflection. To add further dimension to the installation, the public sculpture is scented by The House of Creed’s Carmina fragrance. The public sculpture will be on view until May 10, 2024.

showcased their 2024 collections.
Celebrity fashion designer Azar has most famously had her stunning couture ensembles worn by Beyoncé on her Renaissance album as well as dressed the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, and dozens more. Together, we celebrated fashion and dreams as Art Hearts Fashion intertwined fashion, music, and artistry together under the moonlight and stars.

Guests explored the intersection of luxury and art as The Vessel proudly partnered with the celebrity-loved art brand Oliver Gal Art to transform The Vessel into a nautical art gallery like no other. Guests grooved to the beats of the curated DJ sets by Gindhart B2B Mount and NES as the sun set over the city and all enjoyed the ambiance of the floating masterpiece. The Vessel offers a truly iconic setting that elevated the art experience to new heights while guests enjoyed the art, as well as a refreshing welcome drink from 100% Coconut, cocktail courtesy of SelvaRey Rum and London Essence, Charro Beer, Evian, and light bites.
The enchanting finale unfolded on Saturday night at Dream South Beach Rooftop Highbar, a sleek 70's inspired rooftop pool lounge, overlooking South Beach.
RICHERETTE By Richie Rich, Love For Upcycling, and For The Stars Fashion House showcased their 2024 collections to the beats of DJ Mike Trotter. A special guest, Mean Girls star Daniel Franzese, walked in the RICHERETTE show and Richie, Daniel, and other celebs hosted an official after-party at Twist nightclub.

After an enchanting week, the grand finale was hosted on The Vessel,
Miami's only floating experiential venue.
Guests joined us for a swimwear and resort wear party. This sunset soiree featured designers' best looks from the weekend, live custom art pieces by Skott Marsi, Six Summit Gallery pieces, a live set by DJ MoodGroov Music, and a welcome drink from 100% Coconut. Empress Gin, London Essence, Charro Beer, Smart Water, Bottle Service, and Bites were available to wind down the Art Basel experience in perfect Miami style.
