Make a Wish, Order the Centerpiece: A Night at Giselle Miami

Some restaurants serve dinner. Giselle Miami serves a plotline. It begins with a private elevator

ride above Downtown Miami, continues with a rooftop dripping in mood, music and city lights, and

somewhere between the first cocktail and the arrival of something covered in 24-karat

gold leaf, you realize something important:

This was never going to be a quiet dinner. And why should it be?

Welcome to Giselle Miami, where the cocktails flirt, the food knows it looks good, and one particular

centerpiece may have everyone at your table temporarily forgetting how to share.

First, Make a Wish

Before we get to the food, we need to discuss priorities.

Specifically, 11:11 Wish.

The cocktail combines E11EVEN Vodka, Prosecco, strawberry and citrus before finishing things with a cloud of cotton candy. It's sweet, bubbly, playful and completely uninterested in being subtle.

In other words, very Miami. And really, when a cocktail arrives wearing cotton candy, you don't immediately drink it. There is a process.

Admire.

Photograph.

Make everyone wait while you get the lighting right.

Then sip.

And because it's called 11:11 Wish, making an actual

wish feels practically mandatory.

What should you wish for? Another round seems reasonable.

Then Comes the Centerpiece

Eventually someone at the table asks the question that can derail an otherwise perfectly good dinner:

“So…what should we order?”

Giselle has an answer.

Everything.

Well, almost.

The Chef's Centerpiece, listed among Giselle's appropriately named “Finer Things,” is a chef-curated assortment of favorite bites served for a minimum of two guests at $70 per person.

And centerpiece is the right word.

This isn't the appetizer that quietly gets placed in the middle of the table while everyone continues their conversation.

Conversation stops. Phones come out. Someone says, “Wait, don't touch it.” The table has officially entered content-creation mode.

Depending on the evening's selection, the experience can bring together a lineup of Giselle favorites such as Bluefin Tuna Truffle Cones, A5 Wagyu & Truffle Temari, Miso-Glazed Salmon Rolls, Toro or Salmon & Caviar Crispy Rice, fresh oysters, ceviche and chilled shrimp cocktail.

Translation? You aren't choosing an appetizer. You're ordering a highlight reel.

Yes, That's 24-Karat Gold

Let's start with the bite that's practically begging for its own close-up: the Tuna Truffle Cone. Giselle pairs tuna with wasabi crème fraîche and finishes the tiny creation with 24-karat gold leaf. Is gold leaf necessary? Absolutely not.

Do we want it anyway?

Absolutely yes.

This is Giselle. Restraint can wait downstairs. Then there's the luxurious combination of A5 Wagyu and truffle, bringing rich, buttery flavor into the equation before the seafood starts competing for your attention. And compete it does.

Caviar-topped crispy rice delivers that irresistible combination of crunch, richness and briny decadence. Miso-glazed salmon rolls bring another layer of flavor, while oysters keep things fresh and seductive.

Then come ceviche and chilled shrimp cocktail to brighten everything back up. It's essentially a culinary game of just one more bite.

The Real Challenge: Sharing

Technically, the Chef's Centerpiece is designed for the table. Emotionally, things get more complicated. Because sharing sounds lovely until there is exactly one favorite bite remaining.

Suddenly you're doing calculations. Did she already have one? I think he had two. Wasn't that oyster on my side of the centerpiece? Friendships have survived worse.

Probably.

Our advice? Establish diplomatic relations before the food arrives.

And Then You Look Up

As much as the food commands attention, eventually you remember where you are.

High above Downtown Miami, Giselle Miami creates the kind of atmosphere where dinner can easily become an entire evening.

The restaurant describes its world as a seductive rooftop fantasy, combining an indoor-outdoor setting with a fully retractable roof, panoramic surroundings, ambient lighting and interiors layered with marble, mirrored surfaces and dramatic details.

The effect is glamorous without feeling like a traditional white-tablecloth dining room.

It's dinner with nightlife energy. Romantic enough for date night. Lively enough for a birthday. Sexy enough for an anniversary.

And photogenic enough to make the friend who declined your invitation reconsider several life decisions after watching your Stories. As the evening gets later, Giselle feels less like somewhere you simply came to eat and more like the opening chapter of wherever the night is heading next.

Because Dinner Should Occasionally Be Ridiculous

There are evenings for sensible decisions.

There are evenings for grilled chicken, sparkling water and getting home by 9:30.

And then there are evenings for sitting above Downtown Miami with cotton candy floating over your

cocktail while someone places Wagyu, truffle, caviar, oysters and gold-covered tuna in front of you.

Giselle belongs firmly in the second category. The Chef's Centerpiece captures what makes the restaurant

fun: you don't have to commit to just one signature bite. You get a little tour through Giselle's more

indulgent side, presented with exactly the amount of drama you'd expect from a Miami rooftop.Pair it with

an 11:11 Wish, look out over the city and make your wish before the cotton candy disappears. Although after

a few bites of Wagyu, truffle and caviar, you may realize something.

It already came true.

Chef's Centerpiece selections may vary. Current menu lists the experience at

$70 per person with a two-person minimum.
