Rolling Loud and Eastside Golf are teaming up for an event that’s bound to change the game—literally and figuratively. On December 12th, The Rolling Loud Invitational presented by Eastside Golf is set to hit the greens at Turnberry Resort & Golf Course in Miami, blending the best of hip-hop culture and golf. This star-studded pro-am tournament not only promises a day of music, golf, and fun, but it also aims to make a lasting impact by benefiting local high school golf programs and supporting national HBCU golf programs.
Eastside Golf, known for its fresh, culturally relevant approach to the sport, and Rolling Loud, the world’s largest hip-hop festival, are uniting golf and hip-hop on the course and the festival grounds, with interactive experiences, a fresh merch collaboration, and a shared mission to make golf more accessible and inclusive. The event is more than just a tournament—it’s a celebration of culture and diversity, blending two worlds that may seem miles apart but are actually closer than you think.
“Golf and hip-hop used to feel like totally different worlds,” said Rolling Loud founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif. “But over the years, they’ve come together in some incredible ways. More and more artists are taking up the game, and Eastside Golf has been right at the heart of this movement, bringing real culture and authenticity to the sport. With this partnership, we’re excited to show how golf can resonate with a younger, more diverse crowd, opening doors for the next generation.”
The Rolling Loud Invitational isn’t just about the game; it’s about giving back. Proceeds will support golf programs in Miami Gardens and HBCU golf initiatives nationwide, fostering opportunities for young athletes. Additionally, top finishers from Eastside Golf’s Collegiate Invitational, held earlier this year, will get a chance to compete at the Invitational and enjoy VIP access to Rolling Loud Miami, set for December 13-15 at Hard Rock Stadium.
And it doesn’t stop at the golf course. Eastside Golf will bring the energy to Rolling Loud with an exclusive merch drop and a unique, interactive golfing experience for festival-goers across all three days. For the first time ever, hip-hop fans will get a chance to experience golf in a way that feels fresh and authentic, showing just how intertwined the sport and the culture have become.
Olajuwon Ajanaku, founder and Creative Director of Eastside Golf, shares the excitement.
“Music videos, lyrics, and social media posts have featured golf imagery, highlighting the game’s growing influence in the hip-hop community. This crossover underscores golf’s evolving appeal beyond its conventional audience, embracing diversity and a fresh cultural edge. Partnering with Rolling Loud enables us to physically showcase the natural fit between golf and hip-hop to a broader audience.”
Eastside Golf, with its iconic Swingman logo—a figure in jeans, hoodie, and Cuban link chain mid-swing—has been at the forefront of bringing new, younger audiences to the game since 2019. The brand has partnered with big names like Jordan Brand, the NBA, and Bridgestone, and was even featured in Hulu’s docuseries Grails: When Sneakers Change the Game, showing how it’s reshaping the sport’s image.
As Rolling Loud celebrates its 10th anniversary, it’s clear that both it and Eastside Golf are redefining cultural boundaries and breaking down stereotypes. So, mark your calendars, because The Rolling Loud Invitational is more than just a golf tournament—it’s a cultural movement teeing off right here in Miami.
