The Art Of Hip Hop to Open Permanent Space in Miami During Art Basel
The ‘The Art of Hip Hop,’ an immersive educational exhibition created by the Founders of Museum Of Graffiti, launching during Art Basel Miami Beach 2023. To coincide with the opening, the team at The Art of Hip Hop have partnered with StockX to prepare an array of programming and celebrations during its grand opening weekend from December 5th - December 10th.
The exhibition will celebrate the rich history of Hip Hop by focusing on the cultural significance of its visual creators: the photographers, album cover artists, graffiti legends, and logo designers from some of Hip Hop’s most iconic projects. After successful showcases at SXSW and Seoul’s UrbanBreak, this exhibition will bring the once traveling pop-up to a permanent new space in Wynwood to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop. Programming will continue beyond Art Basel week and will touch on all four pillars of Hip Hop: MC’ing, Break dancing, Graffiti, and DJing.
