Self Care Summer Tips: How to Relax in Miami
Word / Miami Vibes Magazine | IG: miamivibesmag

After a while in Miami, the word "summer" no longer brings up happy visions of barbecues, long beach days, and camping in the great outdoors, but instead bring visions of wading to your car after an afternoon thunderstorm and desperately seeking the air conditioning. But that doesn't rule out the possibility of a good time in Miami throughout the summer. Here’s how to relax in Miami in Summers.
Local comedy Clubs
Stand-up comedy is far from dead and considering the plethora of material available to comedians in Miami, it should come as no surprise that we have a thriving scene. Enjoy some refreshing air conditioning at the Miami Improv in Doral, where great comedians perform practically every night of the week. If you prefer sketch comedy and improv, try out Just the Funny on Coral Way, which has shown every Saturday night.

Lounge at swanky new hotels
For most Miami residents, staying at a South Beach hotel is something we do just when friends come to visit or when we lose a bet. This summer though, a few swanky new hotels began luring even the most adamant locals to the strip. Serena, a breezy rooftop Mexican establishment with meals from Coyo Taco and breathtaking ocean views, is located at the Moxy. Strawberry Moon, located just down the street at the Goodtime Hotel, is South Beach's first full-fledged day club, and while summer may seem a little hot for day drinking, a dip in the pool never hurts.

Volunteering in Miami
Perhaps 2020 provided you with an opportunity to reflect, and you've decided to give back to the city that has given you so much. Perhaps you're just searching for a fun approach to meet new people that don’t involve tequila shots. In any case, there are numerous opportunities to volunteer in Miami, including cleaning up beaches, reading to kids, finding homes for stray dogs, or working at a food bank.

Get a massage
Massages are a “treat yourself” experience that is no longer restricted to luxury getaways or spa days. With so many excellent places to get a massage in Miami, whether you're a resident or coming from out of town, you can easily make it a regular part of your daily routine. Chillax Massage Shop is the place to go if you want to relax and unwind.
The purpose of Chillax Massage Shop was to make massages available to everyone, regardless of schedule or expense. Monday through Friday, you may get a walk-in massage at the Downtown Miami location, which is trendy but welcoming. If you're short on time, reserve a spot and treat yourself to a brief chair massage, which can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes. Or you can go to the private massage rooms and arrange a full-body massage, which is a great way to unwind after a long day at work. The distinctive 80-minute Chillax massage, includes essential oils, Himalayan warm stones, and a blend of reflexology, Swedish massage, and deep-tissue pressure point massage.
