If you've ever visited Miami, you know how important it is to look well. Miami is quickly establishing itself as a fashion Mecca, with aspiring designers from all over the world flocking here to learn the art of creating beautiful, sexy, and elegant designs. Culture Trip profiles some of Miami's
most successful Hispanic fashion designers.
Rene Ruiz
Rene was born in Cuba and migrated to Miami at a young age, where he discovered his passion for fashion and design. Rene graduated from the International Fine Arts College in Miami and began polishing his abilities through apprenticeships in Europe shortly after. Rene is noted for blending his interests with Miami's diverse ethnic background. He accomplishes this by designing his materials and incorporating his signature style, which combines old-world workmanship with modern Miami glitz.
Fabrizio De Castro
Are you looking for a dress that will turn heads and make people gasp? Fabrizio De Castro, a Colombian fashion designer, is the man to contact if you are. He specializes in haute couture, and his gowns are causing a stir in the fashion world. Women who want to make a statement turn to this Latin Miami fashion designer for exquisite splendor and sparkle. His distinct style of integrating art, colors, and innovation while maintaining simplicity and affordability has earned him countless accolades at prestigious fashion shows in Miami and New York City.
Lisu Vega
Lisu Vega's most notable catwalk appearances were Miami Fashion Week, Fashion's Night Out, Cotton 24 Hours, and New York Fashion Week 2014, where she showed her collection, The Beast. Lisu is inspired by art, music, and the people she meets on her fashion globe trips. Her clothing lines and accessories are available in exclusive fashion locations such as Miami, Los Angeles, and New York City, and her fashion designs reflect her confidence and creativity. Lisu Vega is also proud of her Venezuelan ancestry, and she is constantly looking for new ways to incorporate it into her art.
Patricia Gomez
Gracia Gomez Gracia is a Miami resident born in Madrid whose up-and-coming line garners the kind of attention that red carpet designers get. She was well-prepared and ready to build a reputation for herself by 2009 when she started her namesake label, schooled by the greatest (fashion great Alexander McQueen and the much-respected Julien Macdonald). Gomez Gracia's designs are characterized not only by seductive cuts and flattering lines but also by her brilliantly pioneered blend of East London edginess with West End class during her time in London.
Gustavo Cadile
Like Rene Ruis (see above), Gustavo Cadile began his ascension to fashion fame by attending the International Fine Arts College in Miami, where he graduated with a Fashion Design degree. Having dreamed of becoming a designer, Gustavo traveled to Italy, where he lived for three and a half years working for famous designers in Milan and Rome. Gustavo's hard work has paid off, with celebrities like Catherine Zeta-Jones, Eva Longoria, and Sofia Vergara wearing his designs.
