Miami Vibes Magazine – the luxurious print publication renowned for bridging together communities by creating vibes that bring people together from all parts of the Magic City – is proud to announce Stop the Traffic (hosted by Art N Folly), a half wellness/half mixer event to be held in collaboration with Kristi House designed to raise awareness about the human trafficking epidemic in Miami-Dade County.

 

According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, cases of human trafficking in the United States have been on the rise in recent years. Florida ranks third in the country for human trafficking cases, with the majority of the victims residing in South Florida. Since 1995, Kristi House has operated as the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Miami-Dade County, leading local efforts to fight trafficking.

 

On January 16, Miami Vibes Magazine and Kristi House will hold Stop the Traffic to raise awareness about human trafficking in the greater Miami area. Featuring activities including Adult and Children Yoga, a Mariposa Dance, a panel discussion on human trafficking, and a mixer, among others, Stop the Traffic promises to be informative and fun. Proceeds from the event will go to Kristi House’s Project GOLD, a program that provides outreach and services to children exploited in sex trafficking to help them recover from dangerous lives at the hands of traffickers and predators.
