Really Fun Things to do this Summer
Word / Miami Vibes Magazine | IG: miamivibesmag
Nobody expected a season of year-long vacations and social distancing. But that doesn't mean you have to do nothing during the year's hottest (and, perhaps, most fun) months. Instead, we have options that will bring a little joy and enthusiasm back to the summer and end your boredom.
To save you time, this list will present you with a selection of free activities and ideas you may do this summer within your local reach. Aside from sunbathing, wandering around in those lovely sundresses, and having the sand run through your toes (if you're lucky enough to be at the beach), there are a few other fun things to do this summer.
Be a Tourist in Your Own City
Can you confidently state that you are well-versed in your city? Would you do a good job if someone hired you to write a guide to your city? Take the time to go to areas other than your normal hangout spots. There is more to life than going to the mall and bowling alley.
Be a tourist in your own city and visit somewhere new. Most cities also provide free tours. You might come upon streets, shops, and landmarks that you were previously unaware of. The tour could also be done in segways, which would make it a little more enjoyable.
Arrange a water balloon fight
While we all enjoy feeling the sun on our faces, the summer heat may sometimes be a little too...toasty! On those days, few things compare to taking a cold shower, but having a water balloon fight is a close second.
Fill hundreds of water balloon with your favorite buddies and fight to stay the driest among them. Research tactics on How to Survive a Water Balloon Fight if winning the fight is just as crucial as having fun.
Go on a scavenger quest
There are hundreds of scavenger hunt ideas abound on the internet or you can craft your own. Gather your friends or roommates, throw up some prizes, and spend the afternoon determining who has the best hunting abilities. If you’re up for the challenge and ready to find all the clues, Operations City Quest and Let’s Room have the perfect setup waiting for you.
Take a Hot Air Balloon Ride
Take yourself to new heights and see the world through the eyes of a bird. Better yet, toast with champagne while floating across the sky. If you're terrified of flying, go to a Hot Air Balloon Festival and observe from the ground.
Meteor shower gaze
Is there anything more relaxing than looking up into the sky? Choose a clear night, a peaceful location away from city lights, and a telescope or simply a blanket to stare up at the stars. You may search up what stars (or planets) to look for in your night sky on the internet. Or, for a stunning show, plan your stargazing on a night when there is a meteor shower.
