Deering Seafood Festival

Seafood lovers alert: The Deering Seafood Festival at South Dade's historic Deering Estate is the place to be in late March. Top local chefs will serve fresh-off-the-boat seafood such as shrimp, crawdads and stone crab claws. They’ll also give cooking demonstrations throughout the day, so you can learn expert tips and tricks. Take a stroll around the estate and hear Bahamian Junkanoo and steel drum bands or peruse the artist village. If you want an on-the-water experience, you may purchase a ticket to hop aboard a pontoon boat to cruise around Biscayne Bay.
