There is so much more to Miami that meets the eye, with a design culture slowly brewing we are finding more and more places that make for a perfect insta backdrop.
A must on my days off is to explore new places and spaces. Even though Miami is my home base, I always try to be a tourist in my own city and discover what’s new.
I have rounded up the 10 most instagrammable places in Miami, starting with the obvious (for those that are out of town), to some hidden gems!
Miami Beach lifeguard houses
Alongside the beach
You’ve probably noticed every fashion blogger that visits Miami has one of these in their instafeed. Situated every 2 blocks or so, each one is SO colorful and unique, that it makes for a great backdrop. Did I mention the white sand and turquoise waters make for an awesome complement?
Wynwood Murals
Wynwood
Yeah, Wynwood Murals are nothing new, but did you know that new ones keep popping up every time? And in preparation for Art Basel (December), many walls will be revamped!
Bonus: The shops and restaurants have their own insta backdrop! A few faves include, Mister Block Cafe, Warby Parker, and Plant the Future.
Fendi Hallway & OTL in the Design District
150 NE 40th St
Does your instagram need a pop of color? Well, this Fendi hallway is the place for you! And since you’re here, stop by OTL for some coffee and an instapic, It’s right across Fendi.
Gelareh Mizrahi
151 NE 41st Street Suite 119
Don’t go too far, a bonus backdrop is found here! Hint: bring your skateboard. Then walk around the neighborhood and see what else you find!
Basement Miami
2901 Collins Ave
Inside The Edition Hotel, an adult wonderland is found! With an ice-skating rink, a neon bowling alley, a bar and club all in one, this is where you’ll find me on a Saturday night!
Dreamer
1225 20th Street Suite 1
Welcome to selfie heaven! Every angle you turn to in this juice bar is a backdrop on its own, so just walk in and start snapping.
1 Hotel South Beach
2341 Collins Ave
The interior design here is top notch, making it my favorite hotel in South Beach! Green “moments”, designed by Plant The Future, dress the lobby and a plant wonderland can be found upstairs at PLNTHOUSE.
The Bass Museum
2100 Collins Ave
No need to go to Vegas to pose next to Ugo Rondinone’s colorful Mountain sculptures. Find one right outside The Bass Museum. Inside, enjoy changing exhibitions of wonderful contemporary art collections.
Brickell City Center
701 S Miami Ave
BCC has definitely put an effort in creating experiences for residents as well as tourists. Even if you’re wallet can’t afford anything here, you can still enjoy the free photo ops found around the mall.
Sugar
788 Brickell plaza
It wouldn’t be Miami if we didn’t end with a wonderful panoramic view of Biscayne Bay! Stop by this bar for yummy cocktails and a gorgeous scene.
