Dancing on a pole is a relatively young trend in dance and sports combining elements of choreography, rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatics. It is an activity that targets your entire body but also happens to benefit the mind and the soul because of the deep concentration and the sense of release it gives. It is offers fantastic core workout and cardio, while toning up the upper body, arms and abs. 

It’s a great way to lose weight and helps maintain a healthy metabolism. Typical pole athletes eat regular meals but try to keep it healthy with lots of fruits, vegetables and proteins. Anyone can try it. It’s fun and a great way to relieve stress.

Pole dancing also requires an incredible amount of coordination and balance. Learning to control spins, turns and pivots will strengthen muscles throughout your body. Practicing this kind of dance will help you achieve flexibility in your body and regular training will increase your endurance. Pole dance classes are not as simple as they may seem at first, but with practice it gets much easier. It is not required to have serious physical training or any special background to start practicing.
