SHŌSHIN ART CLUB ARRIVES TO ELEVATE INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE

From the creative mind of Valentino Longo, the head bartender at Four Season Surf Club and winner of 2020’s Most Imaginative Bartender presented by Bombay Sapphire and Tales of the Cocktail, comes Shōshin Art Club, a virtual learning hub featuring courses taught by industry leaders from around the world.
Shōshin Art Club is an online hub that will offer its subscribers the chance to explore and experience valuable mentorships along with the ability to learn from the world-class professionals in the spirits industry. Shōshin Art Club’s ultimate goal is to broaden your mind and allow endless inspiration.
“I’ve always believed that knowledge is something that should be shared and widely available to those who are interested in expanding their minds and continuing to educate themselves on their craft” said Longo. “For years I would invite those I admired to my bar for guest shifts so I could use that as a chance to learn from them.”

Courses include, but are not limited to The Cantinero Culture hosted by Tales of the Cocktail Best American Bartender 2019 and owner of Miami’s Cafe La Trova, Julio Cabrera; Translating Your Heritage Into Cocktails hosted by owner of San Francisco's Pacific Cocktail Haven and Nightclub & Bar Show’s 2020 Bartender/Owner of the Year Kevin Diedrich; Beyond the Martini hosted by Bacardi
Legacy Global Winner 2008 and head of The Connaught Bar, an award winning hotel bar in London, Agostino Perrone; and When Tradition Meets Innovation hosted by owner of Kwānt and one of London’s 1000 Most Influential People by the Evening Standard, Erik Lorincz. New classes will be added each month.
Shoshin is a Japanese word that means “beginner’s mind.” This is the mindset of the true beginner who is free of any preconceptions or expectations during the learning process. Instead, they are filled with curiosity and open to unlimited possibilities. Longo sees learning as a never ending adventure and hopes that with the launch of Shōshin Art Club he will inspire others to
feel the same.

The platform will be available with three different types of access. There will be a Members Only portal that is $24.95 a month (or $199.95 annually) that will include unlimited access to every lesson and episode Shōshin Art Club has to offer; a Free Pass portal that as the name states is free to its users and will allow access to limited courses and acts as a sneak peek to what members can view; and a Business portal that is a custom offering meant for those who would like to provide valuable learning experiences to their internal teams — this group pass is personalized based on the number of members and types of lessons requested.
“This is a project that is near and dear to my heart. The opportunity that was afforded to me by presenting Shōshin Art Club during the Most Imaginative Bartender competition and being awarded the grant to make it a reality is really a dream come true,” says Longo of the platform.
