MIAMI'S BEST DESSERTS
EVER!!!
Words / Sam Quin

The Salty Donut: This donut shop is one of the best ones in Miami and has quickly made a name for itself. The actual storefront is modern, clean, and beautiful. Plus it's located in Wynwood, which is known for its graffiti and hipster vibes. The donuts are enormous (I usually can only eat half) and they taste incredible. They're also always coming out with new and exclusive flavors so there's always something to look forward to. My favorite is both the traditional and the guava and cream cheese donut. If you plan on going make sure to go before they run out for the day.
Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop & Café: Best. Pie. Ever. Hands down. They have a bunch of flavors and you can buy the their pies by the slice or just get a whole pie. I do by the slice so I can choose more flavors. They also have various cakes and cookies but honestly the pie is the main reason to go.

Morelia Gourmet Paletas: Paletas are Mexican popsicles (think of a typical popsicle but twice the size). Morelia has multiple locations and it's easy to see why. They have a bunch of flavors to pick from (chocolate, lime, mango, Oreo, etc.). The popsicles can also be topped with melted chocolate, sprinkles, almonds, etc. They're all customizable and extremely filling.
Whip ‘n Dip Ice Cream: This ice cream shop has been around for years and it's one of my favorite places to stop by. Ice cream in Miami is a must and this place serves up some of the best flavors. Their flavors rotate everyday so it's hard to determine what they'll be serving on what day. Regardless, they have their traditional year round flavors, but don't miss out of the daily batches.
Night Owl Cookies: Night Owl started as a nighttime cookies delivery service mainly aimed at the local college kids. However, in a few years it grew quickly and has easily become a favorite. Their cookies are huge and the flavors are unbeatable. It's perfect for hungry college students or those visiting that want to see what the hype is about.

Mojo Donuts: I'm a huge fan of donuts so it's hard to pick my favorite spot. Mojo Donuts has a long list of flavors and they practically sell out everyday of the week. If you're looking for fairly priced but delicious and jaw dropping donuts, stop by Mojo (early so you don't miss out on the best flavors) and pick up a dozen, or two.

Knaus Berry Farm: This small Amish farm is a south Florida icon. Everyone waits in 3-hour lines to get their hands on their famous cinnamon rolls. Knaus Berry farm dishes out warm, gooey, and perfect cinnamon rolls a few months out of the year and they also provide a U-Pick field in the back for strawberries and tomatoes. While waiting in line, make sure to try one of their handmade milkshakes (I prefer strawberry) and bring an umbrella.
