Miami Symphony Orchestra Concert

Miami Design District will be closing off NE 40th Street, paved by a signature red carpet, to make way for the celebration, which is supported by Mayor Francis Suarez,  produced by famed musician and producer Emilio Estefan, and hosted by Dacra CEO & President, Craig Robins. Estefan Enterprises announced opening performances by Jon Secada and The Tenors (Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray, Mark Masri, Alberto Urso), beginning at 6:30PM outside the neighborhood’s iconic 100-year-old Moore Building. Jon Secada is a Cuban-American 3X Grammy Award winning superstar whose career spans over two decades, 20 million albums sold, and starring roles on Broadway.

Multi-platinum JUNO Award winning artists, The Tenors (Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray, Mark Masri, Alberto Urso) perform a mixture of classical and pop with original songs and tributes that range from new songs to classics. Following the opening performances, Maestro Eduardo Marturet will recreate the original 1922 official concert repertoire in collaboration with Estefan. Previous notable performances in the neighborhood alongside MISO include, but are not limited to Gloria Gaynor, The Wailers, Celia Cruz, and Mary Wilson amongst many others.
