Lens Of Power

The moment I held the camera in my hands I knew it was meant to be. Currently residing in Miami, I am originally from Europe where my interest in photography peaked during my early teen years. I graduated in art school with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I started out just taking photos of friends and everything around me to get an understanding of what I liked to photograph and what style fit me. Yet, the moment I attended a runway show, I fell in love with the fashion industry and knew I had found my niche.
I’ve been a professional fashion photographer now for 6 years and have come to realize that being a photographer is a 9-5 kind of job. It’s a lifestyle. Photography is a drawing with lighting. Working with the lighting I find to be exciting and interesting, that’s why I love shooting in the studio. One of my passions is shadow play, which is what a lot of my photos will reveal.
I shoot in the genre of fashion portraits. The major directions are individual photo shoots, maternity photography, advertising campaigns, lookbooks, e-commerce shootings, and photography for Instagram accounts. I am also a professional retoucher as well and dabble in high-end editing. I like to take photos of people and always try to show the beauty of everyone.
Photographers should have the 6th sense and should see the beauty everywhere in any small details where nobody cannot see it. That’s why for me, it is so important to have the small details in my photos that create the whole picture.
I work in Miami, New York and Los Angeles. You can see my recent work and a lot of behind the scenes videos of how I work and you can ask me any questions on my Instagram profile @daria.photo.mua and on my website www.daria.photo.mua.com.
