MY NAME IS DEWI JOHNSON, OWNER AND DESIGNER OF BUNGALOW DRIFT.
November 25, 2018
I started Bungalow Drift as a hobby, creating wall hangings for my home and for friends. I also traveled back and forth from Bali, Indonesia. I would often visit family every year and bring back souvenirs for close friends. After seeing how much they loved the pieces I made and gifts I brought home. So, I decided to start a small shop.
I create all my wall hangings in my studio in South Florida. I use washed up driftwood found on our local beaches or deer antlers I order from small business owners. I use cotton macrame cord or yarn with natural embellishments such as cowrie shells or wooden beads.
I also hand paint some of the driftwood to use as jewelry and key hangers. In addition to the wall hangings, I hand pick home decor and fashion accessories from local artisans in Bali.
